OLF Scrip Program
Scrip is a part of the fund raising program at Our Lady of Fatima School. The OLF scrip program consists of two options:
Profit Requirement
On the Participating Retailers List, the percentage listed next to each store name is the profit given to OLF when you purchase your Scrip.
For example, when you buy $100 of Savemart Scrip, OLF receives $2 profit. Two dollars may sound small but: $2 X 52 weeks = $104 profit per year.
The percentage varies according to retailer, some greater than others. Another example, when you buy $100 of Los Banos Drug Store Scrip, OLF receives $10 profit. At Los Banos Drug Store, not only can you buy prescriptions, birthday gifts, perfume, and other sundries, you can eat at their food counter (which by the way has great food).
So, based on the above examples, a family who spends an average of $400 per month on food and $25 per week buying drug store items and/or lunches, can easily make the $200 scrip requirement.
Tuition Bonus
You can earn a tuition credit by exceeding $200 in profit. 75% of each dollar you earn beyond $200 in profit can be credited towards your tuition for the next school year.
For example, a family earns $300 in profit. They have exceeded the $200 profit requirement by $100. This family will receive a credit of $75 (which is 75% of the excess) towards their tuition payments.
